President Trump fires salvo at 'dead economy'
Washington, Aug. 1 -- US President Donald Trump escalated his attack on India on Thursday, declaring the country could take its "dead economy down together" with Russia in an unusually combative social media post, hours before a key Washington official claimed that the American leader and his trade team were frustrated with the Indian side's stance on bilateral negotiations. "I don't care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "We have done very little business with India, their tariffs are too high, among the highest in the world," he added.
