Agra, Sept. 25 -- Schools from Class 1 to 12 in Mathura and Vrindavan city area are to remain closed on Thursday in view route diversions made for visit of president of India, Droupadi Murmu who will arrive by a special train from Delhi and visit temples in Mathura and Vrindavan. Prohibitory orders are already in place after being passed on August 12 this year by Mathura district magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh under section 163 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 restricting assembly of 5 or more than 5 at one specific place without prior permission of a competent magistrate in advance. Restrictions thus continue on carrying of arms, spreading rumours, holding protests etc. because of prohibitory orders already in effect since last month. Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar was on Wednesday at Kubja Krishna temple located in old Mathura city which is one of the sites to be visited by the President on Thursday. Not much talked about, the temple is in the Old City area near Holi Gate and ensuring a visit there is a challenge for local authorities. "We are all prepared to ensure a smooth visit of the President to the temples in Mathura and Vrindavan. Force required has been received from nearby districts and will be assisted by PAC and other reserve forces beside civil police. Local intelligence is on alert and we are in coordination with management at these temples," Shlok Kumar said. "We urge residents of Mathura and Vrindavan to comply with traffic restrictions and route diversions so that no inconvenience is caused to them," added the SSP. htc...
