Preparations on for President's visit to Mathura, Vrindavan
AGRA, Sept. 23 -- Preparations are in full swing for President Droupadi Murmu's proposed visit to Mathura and Vrindavan on September 25. Senior superintendent of police, Mathura, Shlok Kumar gave this information but did not share further details of the visit. "It will be a personal visit of the President of India to religious destinations in Mathura and Vrindavan. We, on our part, have begun preparations for the high-profile visit and arrangements are being updated. The President is expected to return the same day," he said.
On Sunday night, commissioner, Agra division, Shailendra Kumar; DM, Mathura, CP Singh; deputy inspector general, Agra range, Shailesh Pandey and SSP Mathura Shlok Kumar visited Vrindavan road railway station to review arrangements. The DM and the SSP then visited Mathura junction railway station later in night. The officials also walked through the area adjoining Sri Krishna Janmasthan and reviewed traffic and security arrangements there....
