Pithoragarh, July 5 -- Pithoragarh district magistrate Vinod Goswami on Thursday directed Munsiyari sub divisional magistrate (SDM) to depute two Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) jawans at the Ramganga river crossing to operate a manually pulled trolley to ensure safe passage for students on their way to school. The trolley, currently the only means of crossing the river, is used by students from Bageshwar district who attend Nachni Inter College in Pithoragarh district. The iron bridge that once stood at the site was washed away in the 2018 floods, and has not been reconstructed since.
