Prayagraj civic body lodges 7 FIRs against land sharks
PRAYAGRAJ, June 17 -- The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has lodged seven cases against 12 accused in two police stations of the city, intensifying its drive against land sharks.
The PDA's building inspector, Kunwar Anand, registered seven cases at Airport and Kareli police stations in a single day. In the FIRs, the PDA has named 12 people including late mafioso Atiq Ahmed's brother-in-law among the accused.
Police of both the stations have launched a search for the accused at their different possible hideouts.
According to Anand, six FIRs were lodged against the accused at Airport police station besides one case was lodged at Kareli police station.
According to the complaint, Madan Singh, Maidan Singh and Atiq Ahmed alias Punjabi, Nafees Ahmed and others were engaged in illegal plotting in the Ghauspar locality of the Airport police station.
Further, the PDA inspector informed that Dr Kamran, Imran, Janu and others were involved in illegal plotting in Bhiti Uparhar under Airport police station area, Janu, Suraj, Vijay and others in Kathula Gauspur near Sasur Khedari river, JP Dubey, Kishanlal and others in Pipalgaon....
