PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 21 -- Unidentified bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a handbag containing cash, gold and a mobile phone from a woman riding pillion on a scooty with her husband near Hartmanganj under Tharwai police station limits on Wednesday afternoon. On being informed, ACP (Tharwai) Chandrapal Singh and SHO Omprakash reached the spot and collected details. Police examined CCTV footage from a nearby petrol pump but the accused could not be traced.An FIR has been lodged against two unknown persons, and efforts are on to arrest them, police said.The incident occurred around 2 pm when Nizamuddin, 65, a retired employee of the high court and resident of Rajapur, was on his way with his wife, Asghari Begum, 60, to attend a relative's funeral in Jamha of Mauaima area.As the couple reached Hartmanganj, two unidentified men on a motorcycle came from behind and snatched Asghari Begum's handbag. In the struggle, the strap of the bag tore, causing her to lose balance and fall from the scooter. She sustained injuries while the miscreants escaped with the bag containing Rs 3,000 cash, gold earrings and a mobile phone....
