PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 1 -- A fresh twist has taken place in the suspicious death of a 22 year old man in Manikpur, Pratapgarh, with his mother alleging that he was lured from home and poisoned. She claims a slip of paper found in his pocket carried the names of three people he believed were responsible. A complaint has been filed against all three, and police have begun an investigation. Suraj, resident of Bichhalhala village, died on Friday after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. On Saturday, his mother, Sunita Devi, approached the police with a detailed complaint. According to her, she was at her shop around 10 am on Friday when she called Suraj. He reportedly told her, "Mom, say whatever you want now, because we won't meet again after this." Alarmed, she rushed home but did not find him there. A neighbour informed her that a young man had taken Suraj along, while another woman later told her that he was lying near a pond. When Sunita reached the spot, Suraj, crying in pain, allegedly told her, "Mom, Monu Bhai and Papa's lives are in danger, save them. I have been poisoned by deception." On being asked who poisoned him, he pulled out a slip from his pocket bearing the names of three individuals. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
