Pratapgarh bike thief, murder accused put back in jail
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 12 -- The accused in the murder of a Lucknow cab driver from Ayodhya, almost a year ago, stole a ward boy's bike from the medical college in Pratatpgarh, last Saturday. After identifying the accused from CCTV footage, the hospital police outpost in-charge arrested him near Gaighat on Saturday and recovered the stolen bike.
Ravi Singh, a resident of Bhupiyamau under Dehat Kotwali police station in Pratapgarh, works as a ward boy at the medical college. On October 4, a young man approached his bike while talking on his mobile phone. He inserted the key, started the bike, and sped away. After CCTV captured his image, hospital outpost in-charge Prashant Dubey began searching for him.
He was identified as Mohammad Sahil, a resident of Faridipur Sarai under Gosaiganj police station of Sultanpur. On Saturday, the outpost in-charge arrested him near the Gaighat bridge under Nagar Kotwali police station area with the stolen bike....
