Lucknow, Oct. 2 -- Several areas in Lucknow, including Nadarganj, Mohanlalganj, Kankaha, Fatehkheda, Utrethia, and Sai Mandir feeder in Bangla Bazar, faced power outages on Tuesday night due to technical issues in local transformers. The situation worsened when the 33KV line of the Utrethia old substation also broke down, causing widespread disruption. To manage the power supply during the outage, the supply in the affected areas were temporarily shifted to the Sarojini Nagar feeder line, but power rostering continued throughout the night across a large part of the area. Officials from Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) said that patrolling teams were deployed to trace the faults, and despite rainfall, emergency repair work was carried out to restore the supply. The power crisis extended into Wednesday noon in Mohanlalganj, where the supply was again disrupted after the isolator conductor of the 33KV line broke.
