LUCKNOW, Oct. 17 -- A day after a 13-year-old boy was found dead at his home under Indira Nagar police station limits, the post-mortem examination of his body on Thursday confirmed hanging as the cause of death. The police suspected that he may have taken the extreme step after being upset over a dispute regarding his mother's visit to one of his sister's house. Initially, his sisters claimed that the boy spent most of the day playing PUBG on his phone and was found unconscious on the bed around 5:30 pm, with the game still running on the device. However, during Thursday's questioning, the sisters admitted that he had hanged himself using a 'dupatta'. According to them, family tensions escalated after their mother's October 6 visit to the elder sister, who had remarried. The matter was under investigation, said police. The boy lived in Sector 14, Indira Nagar, with his three sisters while his elder brother resided separately with his wife and children. Their father, Ram Pal, passed away three years ago due to illness, and their mother lives in a village nearby. Investigations revealed that the boy's elder sister had married a local man in the village seven years ago, but left him four years later to remarry. She lives with her second husband about 100 meters from the deceased's house. According to ACP Anidya Vikram Singh, doctors at Lohia Hospital confirmed the boy's suspicious death around 7:30 pm on Wednesday. By the time S-I Sandeep Singh arrived, the body had already been sent to the mortuary, he added. htc...
