Dehradun, Nov. 27 -- A team of Uttarakhand Police will visit the factory in Maharashtra's Nagpur, where the gelatin sticks recovered near a government school in Almora, were manufactured, an officer familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. On November 20, children playing near the Government Higher Secondary School in Dabra village, spotted suspicious objects in the bushes. After getting information, police reached the spot, and secured the area. A total of 161 gelatin sticks were recovered from the scene. The next day, bomb disposal and dog squad teams were deployed to the site, and samples were collected. A first information report (FIR) was registered against unknown individuals at Salt Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act, 1959. According to police, the accused road contractor, identified as Prashant Kumar of Champawat, who was arrested on Tuesday for negligence in handling gelatin sticks, failed to produce the valid documents for the procurement. htc...
