Gorakhpur, Oct. 16 -- : Assets worth nearly Rs.1 crore belonging to notorious gangster Daya Shankar Nishad, also known as Diana, were seized under the Gangster Act ahead of the Panchayat elections. Two houses were sealed in a joint operation by the revenue department and police, ordered by district magistrate Deepak Meena. SP City Abhinav Tyagi said, "Strict action will continue against such criminals to ensure safety and law and order in the district."
