Police reunite 4-year-old missing girl with family
LUCKNOW, April 30 -- A 4-year-girl, who had gone missing while playing outside her home on April 26, was traced and united with her family in Buddh Vihar Colony by Chinhat police, thanks to CCTV footage from over 150 houses in the area.
According to police, the parents of the girl unsuccessfully tried searching for her before reporting the incident to them on April 28. A missing person's report was registered and multiple teams were formed to locate the girl.
Bharat Pathak, station in-charge of Chinhat, said it was a challenge for the police. "We formed four teams that worked with the surveillance unit and reviewed footage from hundreds of CCTV cameras installed at around 150 homes."
In a footage, the girl was spotted playing with other children and moving towards Hardashi Kheda and Kanchanpur in Matiyari.
Based on this lead, police located the girl and reunited her with her family....
