Police raise reward on arrest of absconding SP leader Gulshan Yadav
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 2 -- Unable to trace Samajwadi Party's acting district unit president and former Kunda Nagar Panchayat chairman Gulshan Yadav, the additional director general of police, Prayagraj zone Sanjeev Gupta has increased the existing Rs 50,000 reward on Yadav to Rs 1 lakh on Monday.
According to police records, a total of 53 cases are registered against Gulshan Yadav, a resident of Maudara village under Manikpur police station area.
Recently, the police initiated action against Yadav under Gangster Act wherein his properties had been confiscated on the orders of the district magistrate. Yadav has been absconding in the same case for a long time.
Earlier, IG Prayagraj had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for his arrest but till now police failed to achieve success.
SHO of Kunda police station Avan Kumar Dixit said that additional director general of police Prayagraj zone had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for the arrest of Gulshan Yadav.
It may be mentioned that inspector general of police (IG), Prayagraj range Ajay Kumar Mishra has increased Rs.25,000 reward announced on Yadav, absconding in a case of selling mangoes from his confiscated orchard, that was seized under the Gangsters Act, to Rs.50,000 on July 6. After the Pratapgarh DM had ordered the confiscation of Gulshan Yadav's properties under the Gangsters Act on April 23, the Sangramgarh police on June 19, initiating action against Yadav under Gangsters Act had seized a plot bought in the name of his wife Seema Yadav in Lucknow.
The seized 187.95 sq. metre plot in Sharda Nagar South City, Lucknow had a market value of around Rs.1.10 crore. Besides, Yadav's house worth around Rs.1 crore was also seized by district administration officials in Kunda on May 4....
