Police probing fake recommendation letters in minister's name
Agra, Dec. 4 -- Police said they were probing fake recommendations issued for admissions in premier schools of Agra. An FIR was registered against unidentified individuals at the Hari Parvat police station on a complaint by cabinet minister and Agra MLA Baby Rani Maurya, assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Akshay Mahadik confirmed.
The minister alleged that her camp office in the Baluganj area received two letters with her name on the letterhead and her forged signature.
One of them was addressed to the principal of St Felix Pre Primary Wing, St Peter's College at Wazirpura, recommending the admission of a child in nursery class. The other letter was addressed to the principal of St Patrick's Junior College at Wazirpura. "None of these letters was issued from my office." she added BNS section 318(4) (cheating), 336(4) (forgery), 338 (forgery of documents) and 340(2) (dishonest use of forged document) were invoked in the FIR....
