Lucknow, Nov. 17 -- Police said they were probing the death of a woman from Malihabad on Friday after her daughter alleged that her father had a role in it. According to a police statement, the minor girl called emergency helpline '112' around 9:15 pm to complain that her mother, Madhuri, 41, from Mau Ramgarha village, had been assaulted by her father Rajaram Gautam, resulting in her death. Police said a team reached the spot shortly after the call and spoke to family members. Officers said they were told that Madhuri had been unwell for the past few days and was being taken for treatment when she died. She was reported to have been married for nearly 20 years and is survived by four children, the eldest being around 17.
