LUCKNOW, Dec. 5 -- What began as a routine complaint in the December 2 robbery case led to the arrest of four men allegedly involved in assaulting a passenger and forcing digital transfers through UPI. Madiaon police tracked the transaction to a Jan Seva Kendra, intercepted an autorickshaw whose occupants tried to flee, and recovered crucial evidence within a day. According to ADCP North Gopi Nath Soni, the case started when Yogendra, a resident of Sitapur told Madiaon police that four men in an autorickshaw assaulted him, snatched Rs 2,000 in cash, and forced him to transfer Rs 28,000. Police registered an FIR under BNS sections and the IT Act. "Investigators traced the victim's transferred money to a Jan Seva Kendra operator in Madiaon. Operator Amit Kumar said he had received the amount on behalf of his neighbour, Himanshu.
