police doubles reward for gangster murder case absconders
Dehradun, March 19 -- Police have doubled the reward for the arrest of six absconding accused in the Jharkhand gangster murder case, officials said on Wednesday. The reward has been increased from Rs.25,000 each to Rs.50,000 each.
Earlier in February, police had arrested two accused - Akshat Thakur alias Mohit and Raj Kumar, both residents of Jamshedpur - for allegedly providing logistical support to the main assailants. The six absconding accused have been identified as Ashutosh Singh, Vishal Singh, Ankit Verma, Aakash Kumar, Yash Raj and Jitendra Kumar, all residents of Jharkhand. On February 13, Vikram Sharma (45), a gangster, was shot deat by two assailants, police said.
