VARANASI, April 26 -- Women will manage all arrangements, from seating to stage coordination and compering, at a women's conference to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BLW ground in Varanasi on April 28. The conference is expected to see participation from at least 50,000 women across the district. According to a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, the event is being planned as a women-led programme, with party workers from the women's wing handling all arrangements at the venue. A senior BJP functionary associated with preparations said dais arrangements are being finalised, adding that a woman BJP worker is likely to conduct the programme. PM Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath are expected to be present on the dais along with selected women representatives, whose list is being finalised. Kashi region BJP media in-charge Navaratan Rathi said leaders and workers of the party's women wing have launched a door-to-door outreach campaign to invite women for the event. He added that BJP Mahila Morcha members will oversee arrangements at the venue. BJP corporator Rajkumar Das said party workers will assist women in reaching the venue from different areas and ensure they are dropped back home after the conference concludes. Rathi said that Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary and general secretary (organisation) Dharmpal Singh held meetings with women wing workers and assigned responsibilities for the programme. He said preparations are being carried out under the guidance of Kashi region BJP president Dilip Patel, adding that the Prime Minister will be given a grand welcome. Women police personnel will exclusively handle security arrangements at the venue, said Mohit Agarwal, commissioner of police (CP). He stated that female personnel will manage the entire security apparatus with vigilance and discipline. Agarwal, along with Satyendra Kumar, district magistrate, inspected the venue, parking areas, VVIP routes and related facilities. Instructions were issued to establish a multi-layered security system, ensure strict screening of all attendees and maintain surveillance over suspicious activities. Officials were also directed to create separate parking zones for different categories of visitors and install clear signage.
