PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 9 -- The Allahabad high court on Monday adjourned hearing on a plea seeking an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey of the 'Wazukhana' area, excluding the structure described by the Hindu side as 'Shivlinga' and Muslim side as a 'fountain', inside the Gyanvapi mosque at Varanasi till January 12, 2026, after counsel of the parties informed the court that the matter is pending before the Supreme Court. Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal passed the order in a civil revision petition filed by Rakhi Singh, one of the plaintiffs in Shringar Gauri worship suit before the Varanasi court.
