plea challenges anti-conversion law, SC seeks raj govt's response
jaipur, Nov. 29 -- The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the Rajasthan government over another petition challenging the recently enforced Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Bill, 2025 that introduced stringent provisions including life imprisonment.
The matter was heard by a bench of justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta.
Additional advocate general Shiv Mangal Sharma, said, "The Supreme Court today issued notice in the fourth writ petition filed against the Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2025, and directed the matter be tagged with the already pending pan-India batch concerning similar enactments of eight states."htc...
