PRAYAGRAJ, May 22 -- In a tribute to the Indian Army and its soldiers who have been the part of Operation Sindoor, platform benches at various railway stations under the Prayagraj division have been painted in the distinctive colours of the Indian Army, officials said. "Prayagraj division has decorated the platform benches at Karachhana and Govindpuri railway stations in honour of the Indian Army soldiers dedicated to the defence of the nation with their indomitable courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty," said Amit Kumar Singh, public relations officer, North Central Railway, Prayagraj division. Benches at other key stations-including Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Etawah and Karachhana-have also been painted as part of the initiative. According to Singh, the move aims to instill a deeper sense of patriotism among the public and express gratitude to the armed forces. The initiative not only provides passengers with a unique visual experience but also serves as a reminder that the country's peace and security are upheld by the sacrifices of its soldiers. "This step reflects the Railway Administration's commitment to patriotism, unity, and national pride, and will inspire the youth while raising awareness about national service," Singh added....
