Dehradun, Aug. 26 -- The long-awaited heli service between Pithoragarh and Munsiyari is expected to start by September 30 under the Centre's regional connectivity scheme Udan, representatives from the state government said on Sunday. In a statement, officials said that the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu informed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami that Heritage Aviation has been selected to operate the service on the Pithoragarh-Munsiyari-Pithoragarh route. The chief minister had recently urged the Centre to expand air connectivity in the hill state to improve accessibility to remote areas.
