LUCKNOW, Nov. 8 -- Water supply in several parts of Lucknow will remain disrupted on November 10 as the water works (jalkal) department will repair a leakage in the raw water main feeder pipeline near Giridhar Lal Mathur Road, Musahib Ganj. The department has urged residents of affected areas to store sufficient water in advance to avoid inconvenience, stated an LMC press release on Friday. The repair work will be carried out from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday. During this time, the Gaughat pumping station's raw water supply to Aishbagh jalkal will remain suspended, disrupting evening water supply in many connected areas, the press release said. The areas where water supply will be hit include Aishbagh, Rajendra Nagar, Raja Bazar, Rajajipuram, Karehta, Garhi, Ganeshganj, Nakkhas, Lalbagh, Qaiserbagh, Maulviganj, Mall Avenue, parts of Hazratganj, Latouche Road, Naka Hindola and nearby localities. According to jalkal officials, the leakage was causing both pressure loss and wastage in the system. A technical inspection confirmed the need for urgent repair.
