LUCKNOW, Nov. 30 -- A major pipeline burst disrupting drinking water supply in Bhadeva area, close to Aishbagh area, in the state capital on Saturday, prompting the Lucknow Municipal Corporation's water works department (Jalkal) to deploy teams for immediate repair. Residents in Bhadeva woke up to a severe water crisis after the clear water supply line burst near First Step School. After receiving the information, the Jalkal department quickly sent its technical team to the spot and began repair work. Officials said the sudden damage to the primary pipeline caused the disruption. Jalkal GM Kuldeep Singh said, "The main clear water supply line in Bhadeva broke unexpectedly, affecting water supply in the area. Our team is working continuously, and we expect to restore normal supply by November 30. We regret the inconvenience caused to residents," he said.
