Meerut, Nov. 18 -- A minor dispute over removing parked vehicles escalated into a clash between two groups in Noorpur village under the Babhugarh police station area on Sunday evening. The confrontation turned deadly when one group allegedly opened indiscriminate fire from a rooftop, leaving eight people injured, two of them critically. According to villagers, the incident began around 4 pm when Aman, son of Sunder, was returning home with fodder on a buffalo cart. As he passed the house of neighbours Sanjay and his brother Prempal, he found their car and tractor blocking the way. When Aman asked them to move the vehicles, an argument broke out, and the two brothers along with their family members allegedly assaulted him. Aman told his family about the assault, and by evening, Sunder's relatives went to confront Sanjay and Prempal. The situation escalated when members of Sanjay and Prempal's side allegedly climbed onto their rooftop with licensed guns and opened fire on the approaching group. Eight people from Sunder's side - Ayush, Nikhil, Ravi, Vijay, Anuj, Akash, Sant, and Mahi - sustained bullet and pellet injuries. They were rushed to a hospital in Hapur, where doctors referred Ayush and Ravi to Meerut due to critical condition. The remaining injured are undergoing treatment locally. SHO Munish Pratap Singh arrived with a police team and began investigation. CO Varun Mishra visited hospital and met their families. htc...
