PDA staff booked for attack on anti-corruption team
Prayagraj, Dec. 11 -- An FIR has been filed at the Civil Lines police station against 40 to 50 unidentified employees of the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) for allegedly attacking an anti-corruption department team inside the PDA office on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident happened after the anti-corruption team caught junior assistant Ajay Kumar allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 8,000 from Pranendra Pandey for clearing the registry of a plot under a housing scheme.
As the team detained Ajay Kumar and moved towards the seventh-floor lift, 40-50 Prayagraj Development Authority staff members allegedly gathered and attacked them.
They reportedly tried to free Kumar and assaulted inspector Singh and constables Vikas Pandey and Mithilesh, who sustained injuries. htc...
