PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 26 -- Preparations are in full swing for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination (PCS) and Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/ Range Forest Officer (RFO) Services Examination-2025 Prelims, scheduled to be held on October 12 for the recruitment of around 210 posts. A high-level meeting was held on Thursday at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) headquarters in Prayagraj to review the arrangements.The meeting was attended by nodal officers from all districts, along with officials from the police and education departments.A total of 6,26,387 candidates have applied for PCS-2025. To accommodate them, 1,435 examination centres have been set up across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. In Prayagraj alone, 67 centres will host more than 28,000 candidates. In a significant step to ensure fair and transparent conduct of the examination, the Commission has decided to implement a two-tier training programme for invigilators for the first time. Training will now be provided at both the district and examination centre levels. Previously, training was limited to the centre level only.Last year, the PCS (preliminary) exam-2024 was conducted on December 22 at 1,331 centres across 75 districts.
