Pauri garhwal admin surveys landslide-hit Sainji village
Haridwar, Aug. 14 -- Days after two women died in a landslide in Sainji village in Pauri Garhwal district, the administration has started a geological survey, ecological assessment and examination of rocks, officials familiar with the matter said.
On August 6, a landslide took place triggered by heavy rainfall in Sainji village, Pabo block, killing two women, Asha Devi (55) and Vimla Devi (58). Meanwhile, five labourers, from Nepal, were swept away in a swollen rivulet in Bakuna village of Thalisain block....
