Patriotic marches, rallies mark 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign
LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- Various educational institutions in the city organised rallies, competitions and awareness programmes under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of Independence Day on Wednesday to promote respect for and installation of the national flag at homes.
At Army Public School Sardar Patel Marg, students participated in rallies and activities, carrying the Tricolour and spreading awareness in the community. The event aimed to instil unity, pride and responsibility towards the nation among participants.
A march was also held from gate number 2 to gate number 1 of Lucknow University, with officiating vice chancellor Prof. Manuka Khanna, faculty members and students taking part.
Faculty members and administrative staff of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University organised a bike rally, flagged off by vice chancellor Prof JP Pandey. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University's Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Committee held an event on the theme 'Swadeshi Suraksha and Self-Reliance', presided over by vice chancellor Prof Raj Kumar Mittal, with social activist Satish Kumar as the chief guest and keynote speaker.
Students, faculty members and administrative staff of Jai Narain Mishra PG College and Khun Khunji Girls PG College also took out rallies under the campaign....
