Jaipur, Aug. 22 -- A 58-year-old patient on his way to the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) hospital died in an ambulance after it ran out of oxygen, police officers aware of the matter said on Thursday, adding that the driver fled leaving her on the road. Inspector Gurubhupendra Singh from Muhana police station in Jaipur, said, "The incident took place on Wednesday night when the patient, Shimla Devi, was referred to the SMS Hospital by Advanced Multispeciality Hospital, a private facility." Shimla Devi was suffering from scrub typhus (a bacterial infection transmitted through chigger bites) for the last 10 days. Singh said a case has been registered against the driver. htc...
