Pathak: Nurses are backbone of healthcare
LUCKNOW, July 14 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak called the nursing profession the backbone of the healthcare sector and said the state government was ready to make policy changes for the betterment of nurses.
"If provided with suitable advice, the Uttar Pradesh government is ready to make policy changes for the betterment of healthcare in gen- eral and the nursing profession, in particular," he said at a conference organised here on Sunday.
The meet, which saw over one thousand participants, including nursing students and professionals, academicians, principals, directors of nursing services, and other stakeholders, was organised by TISHHA Cares and Samarpan Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences (SINPS).
Pathak also gave awards to the winners of several competitions. Along with him, Dr Hem Chandra was also the chief guest at the event.
Kumudini Mishra and Major General (Retired) Sushila Shahi were the guests of honour, stated a release.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Dr Chandra and Shahi. TISHHA Consultants LLP's Manish Vaishnav, Sugandh Khandelwal, Pramod Panigrahi and Mushahid Rafat were also present....
