Passengers allegedly pelt train with stones; video surfaces online
Lucknow, June 30 -- Angry passengers allegedly pelted stones at the Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) train bound for Mumbai after failing to secure seats. A video showing a broken train window went viral on social media on Sunday, sparking concern. Complaints were posted on X (formerly Twitter), tagging DRM-Varanasi, the railway minister and other railway officials.
The incident triggered a stir in the railway department, but upon investigation, authorities could not find any concrete evidence. As the incident could not be independently verified, no FIR was registered. Hindustan times does not confirm the authenticity of the viral video.
The complaint was shared on X early Sunday morning and included a five-second video clip showing a shattered train window with glass shards and debris scattered across the passenger seats. A passenger named Ahmad Raza, who was reportedly aboard the train, claimed the stone-pelting incident occurred.

A passenger reportedly captured the incident on video and posted it on social media.

Ashok Kumar, public relations officer (PRO) of North Eastern Railway, said that following the circulation of the video, a joint team from the Rambagh Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) investigated the matter at Handia station. Railway staff were questioned, but no confirmation of the incident could be obtained. The train guard also did not report any such occurrence, he added....
