New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday cited the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack while stating that it was the government's prerogative to assess ground realities, as it sought a response from the Centre on a plea demanding time-bound restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). The application, filed through advocate Soyaib Qureshi, seeks restoration of statehood within a fixed time frame, preferably two months.
