Over Rs 22cr revenue to be realised by different govt departments
PRAYAGRAJ, May 3 -- Nearly a dozen district government departments are lagging in their revenue realisations despite lapse of over a month since the 2023-24 financial year ended. As per records, revenue dues worth over Rs 22.28 crore are yet to be realised by the departments from different individuals and firms. The transport department has the maximum of over Rs 4.61 crore revenue backlog to be recovered by it amongst all departments.
District magistrate, Prayagraj Ravindra Kumar Mandar said that notices had been issued to all the defaulter government departments and people who had pending revenue dues to be realised. Departments have also been instructed to increase recovery immediately or else action would be initiated as per rules, in case the same was not done, he added.
As per the list of unrealised revenue dues of different government departments as of March 31, 2025, the total amount of revenue to be realised by different departments including power department, stamp, transport, banks, etc was assessed to be over Rs 22.28 crore.
Moreover Rs 3.97 crore dues is pending to be realised from just nine individual defaulters including Rs 85,12,944 of mining department over a private firm, Rs 76,14,580 of stamp over a private firm, Rs 59,41,800 of stamp dues over a resident of Karchhana tehsil, Prayagraj, Rs 56,82,850 of stamp dues over a Baihrana resident, Rs 51,88,466 over a Rice Mill in Phulpur tehsil, etc....
