VARANASI, Aug. 12 -- A total of 2,420 patients, including 163 diarrhoea patients and 286 ailing from skin diseases, have been treated at the flood medical post, said chief medical officer Sandip Chaudhary. The CMO said that at present a total of four flood posts are functioning at Primary School Salarpur, City Girls School Badi Bazar, Primary School Saraiya, and Primary School Rampur Dhaba. Eight medical teams are deployed in two shifts. In these posts, medical teams treated 2,420 patients. He said flood relief and other preventive activities were being carried out on a war footing in the district. The CMO on Monday supervised the preventive works being carried out by the Varanasi Nagar Nigam and Health Department in the Konia area. Chaudhary said that a total of five camps were set up on Monday. Asha workers made a list of fever patients by going door to door and 106 fever patients were tested for malaria and dengue in the camp in which no positive patient was found....
