Over 1k girls unite for women's safety, cybercrime awareness
LUCKNOW, Sept. 28 -- Around 1,000 girl students participated in a rally under the Mission Shakti campaign in Mohanlalganj on Saturday, promoting awareness on women's empowerment, safety, and protection against cybercrimes, according to Lucknow Police.
Carrying banners and placards, the participants raised slogans stressing the importance of daughters' education, women's safety, and awareness to prevent cybercrimes, highlighting the role of empowerment in society's holistic development.
Students from Navjeevan Inter College and Kashishwar Inter College took part enthusiastically.
Police officials addressed the students after the rally, stressing the importance of women's security in today's era and advising responsible use of the internet and social media amid rising cybercrime cases. They also shared helpline numbers including 1090 (Women Power Line), 112 (Emergency Service), 1930 (Cyber Fraud Helpline), and 181 (Women Helpline), assuring students of immediate assistance.
