PRAYAGRAJ, July 29 -- Online applications for recruitment to vacant LT Grade (Assistant Teacher) posts in government secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh began from Monday. This marks the first such recruitment drive by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) after a gap of seven years, generating considerable excitement among aspirants.This time, the requirement of a BEd degree has been waived for the Computer subject. Candidates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree are also not required to have a BEd, although it will be considered a preferred qualification-meaning BEd holders will be given preference during selection.The total number of vacancies is 7,466: 4,860 for male candidates and 2,525 for female candidates. Applicants must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1 to be eligible to apply. However, there's growing discontent among candidates regarding the upper age limit, with ongoing protests over the past two weeks demanding age relaxation.The last date to submit the online application and pay the examination fee through the bank is August 28, while the deadline for application corrections and fee resolution is September 4.In terms of subject-wise vacancies: Science leads with 1,337 posts (764 for men, 573 for women), Mathematics follows with 1,093 posts (556 for men, 537 for women) while Computer Science has 1,056 posts (601 for men, 455 for women).htc...
