One dead, several injured in bus-dumper collision
PRAYAGRAJ, July 1 -- : One person died and several others sustained injuries in a road accident on Monday morning when a UP Roadways bus collided with a dumper near Sehuda village, under the Bara police station area, on the Prayagraj-Banda highway.
The bus, which belonged to the Zero road depot of UPSRTC, was travelling from Prayagraj to Chitrakoot. As it passed Sehuda village, a scooter rider suddenly tried to overtake the bus. In an effort to avoid hitting the two-wheeler, the bus swerved and came face to face with an oncoming dumper, leading to a violent collision. Police from Bara station reached the site and arranged ambulances from Jasra and Shankargarh CHCs to assist the injured. Injured passengers were taken to Jasra CHC for treatment. Om Prakash,18, a resident of Rewa, suffered critical injuries and died during treatment. htc...
