On Cong meet agenda: power privatisation, UP schools' merger
LUCKNOW, July 20 -- The proposed privatisation in the power sector in Uttar Pradesh and the merger of state government-run primary schools will come up for discussion among other national issues at the Congress's national-level 'OBC Justice and Participation Conference' in New Delhi on July 25.
"At least 2000 party workers from across the state will attend the national OBC meet on July 25, (which is) happening after the OBC advisory council meet held in Bangaluru on July 15-16. This meeting will decide the future course of action in Uttar Pradesh on the issue of privatisation and school closure that are affecting OBCs the most," said Manoj Yadav, chairman of the OBC wing of the UP Congress and Puneet Pathak, spokesperson for the party, at a joint press conference on Saturday.htc...
