LUCKNOW, Nov. 16 -- Municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar conducted inspections in Zone 8 and Zone 7 of the city on Saturday and warned officials that negligence in ongoing development works would not be tolerated. The commissioner first reached Pasi Square in Sector 19, where preparations are underway for the upcoming programme and installation of the Rani Uda Devi statue. He evaluated stage construction, decoration, sanitation and public-facing arrangements, stressing that people visiting the square must see clean, organised and safe surroundings. Residents, along with MLC Ramchandra Pradhan and zonal officials, were present at the site. Kumar told the staff that any lapse affecting public convenience or the event preparations would invite strict action. After Pasi Square, the commissioner visited the Manortha Gaushala in Zone 7, where he reviewed ongoing works crucial for animal welfare and community service.
