Officials attacked during land exercise; three booked
PRAYAGRAJ, May 11 -- A revenue team was attacked by three brothers and others in a Pratapgarh village on Saturday, according to reports. The team had gone Aungapur under Aspur Devsara police station for the measurement of government land as per the instructions of the area sub-divisional magistrate.
Saifabad revenue inspector Nimbu Lal and accountant Anand Yadav, along with some police personnel, were allegedly attacked by one Shiv Bahadur Nishad, Lal Bahadur Nishad, Indraraj Nishad and others. A FIR has been lodged in the Aspur Devsara police station against the three named accused, who are brothers, and others, police said.
The accused got furious when they were told that the measurement was being done of government land. In the presence of police force, they started beating revenue inspector Nimbu Lal. Also, the police have challaned the three men for disturbing peace....
