LUCKNOW, July 30 -- Polling for the annual general election of the Oudh Bar Association (OBA) of advocates of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court concluded on Tuesday. Out of 4,415 registered voters, 4,071 cast their votes. The counting of votes will take place on Wednesday and the result will be declared thereafter. OBA election officer, senior advocate HGS Parihar, said that this year, he introduced facial recognition technology and e-voter cards for entry and polling. The counting process will also be carried out expeditiously with the help of a team comprising 80 lawyers, he added. As many as 135 candidates are contesting against 22 OBA posts. For the posts of president and general secretary, there are five and nine candidates in the fray, respectively.HTC...
