Nursery student dies; FIR of culpable homicide
PRAYAGRAJ, May 17 -- A three-and-a-half-year-old nursery student died in Prayagraj on Thursday, allegedly after he was beaten by two teachers of his school, police said on Friday, referring to a complaint by his parents.
An FIR was lodged on the complaint of the boy's father at the Naini police station against two unidentified persons under Section 105 (culpable homicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Deputy commissioner of police (Trans Yamuna) Vivek Chandra Yadav said the parents had claimed in the written complaint that two teachers of the school had assaulted the boy leading to his death.
"The complaint submitted by parents of the deceased child did not have any mention of any sexual assault. However, the PM report indicates towards an injury on his private parts, in light of which a sexual assault cannot be ruled out. We will be investigating all angles in this case and will also scan CCTV footage of cameras in and around the school," he added.
The boy was admitted to the nursery section of the school a month ago, the FIR said
The mother said the boy was admitted to school last month but refused to go after a few days. The boy did not disclose the reason for his reluctance to go to school, she said.
The post-mortem found that the child had been sexually assaulted with injury marks in his private parts, besides on his forehead and tongue. Naini SHO Brij Kishore Gautam said an FIR was lodged against two unidentified persons....
