Lucknow, Sept. 23 -- A protest concerning illegal admissions was held at Lucknow University on Monday by the National Students' Union of India (NSUI). The students demanded that the merit list and cut off list of all the courses run by the university be released. They also highlighted that all admissions made through illegal payment in all UG entrance exams be cancelled, including those for departments like B Com. Besides, the admission process of research students admitted in the department of social work in the session 2024-25 should be re-examined and investigation should be conducted against illegally admitted students and appropriate action should be taken. NSUI's Vishal Singh said that there have been several discrepancies found in the admission process of various courses of the university. "We have demanded for an investigation by an internal committee if the problem is not resolved we will move further to the higher education minister to voice our concern," said Singh. The students also demanded that a Halo Question Booklet be provided to students after the entrance examination and the entrance exam list of LLB LLM should be released on the website.
