Lucknow, May 2 -- Green Gas Limited (GGL) has commissioned Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply to the revered Smritika War Memorial. The Smritika War memorial features all 21 Param Vir Chakra awardees and the 3 Ashok Chakra awardees of Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Girija Shankar, the Managing director of GGL said, "It is a matter of great pride and honour for us to contribute to the lighting of the Smritika War Memorial. This initiative not only pays homage to our national heroes but also reinforces vision of the government of a greener, more energy-efficient India." The use of PNG at such a symbolic site represents a convergence of tradition and innovation ensuring the eternal flame of remembrance burns brighter and cleaner. This step further aligns with the Government of India's push towards expanding the reach of natural gas as a cleaner fuel alternative across the country, he added.
