Now, track C&D debris collection points on LMC's app
LUCKNOW, Oct. 9 -- Property owners in the state capital can now locate the nearest construction and demolition (C&D) waste collection points set up in all eight zones of Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) through the Lucknow One App.
LMC has launched this feature to help citizens track the closest designated points. The transportation of the waste to the point will be their own.
Municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar said the initiative is part of LMC's broader plan to improve urban sanitation and keep city spaces clean.
"This feature is a major step towards making Lucknow cleaner and more organised. We appeal to citizens not to dump debris in open plots or near drains, but to use the app-based service and locate the nearest collection point and dump there," he said.
Environmental engineer Sanjeev Pradhan said some of the collection points are located near 1090 Crossing, Rajajipuram taxi stand, LMC's rubbish removal office, Nanak Nagar flyover, Naubasta, Vrindavan Colony and South City.
Under the new system, the complete list and map of these points are available on the app.
Additional municipal commissioner Arvind Kumar Rao said to use the service, citizens mustcan download LMC's app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, go to the "Construction Waste" category, and enter the vendor's name....
