Meerut, July 5 -- The Noida unit UP Police Special Task Force (STF) along with a police team from Banda district, arrested a wanted gangster, Yashpal, on Friday morning. Son of Dhara Singh, Yashpal had a reward of Rs.50,000 on his head. The arrest was made in connection with a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The joint operation was carried out in the Kankerkhera police station limits of Meerut, where the police raided a house located on Rohta Road following inputs about the gangster's presence. As the STF team reached the site and launched the operation, for a short while, the area witnessed a stampede-like situation.
