LUCKNOW, May 12 -- A state-level sanction and monitoring committee chaired by chief secretary SP Goyal on Monday approved detailed project reports (DPRs) for the construction of 63,433 new houses under the beneficiary-led construction (BLC) component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 across 225 urban local bodies in 55 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The approvals were granted during a meeting of the committee constituted under PMAY-Urban 2.0. Officials said that the total number of approved houses under the BLC component of the scheme in the state has risen to 3,68,138. Chairing the meeting, the chief secretary directed officials to ensure timely completion of projects approved under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) component of the scheme.
