No written test for police recruitment ifSP voted to power in '27: Pal
PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 13 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) state president Shyam Lal Pal on Monday announced that if the party forms the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, written examinations for police recruitment will be abolished. Instead, the merit list will be prepared by combining candidates' academic scores with their physical fitness performance.
Pal made the statement while addressing a seminar on 'Ganga, Environment and Socialism' at the Magh Mela. He said the Ganga is not just a river but the lifeline of Indian civilisation, culture, and its conservation is deeply linked to socialist values. The seminar concluded with resolution pledging joint efforts by SP workers and citizens for Ganga conservation, and promotion of socialist ideals.
Later, the SP state president visited the Mulayam Singh Smriti Seva Sansthan camp, offered floral tributes to the idols of Radha and Krishna, performed puja, and met the camp's founder, Sandeep Yadav. htc...
